You may be confused by this title, because baby, naturally has carried Thirsties products right from the beginning.  However, due to several circumstances, I was not able to restock them right away when I took over the store last April.  I'm happy to say that we now have a large stock of Thirsties products that are brand spankin' new to baby, naturally.  Would you like to meet them?

Duo Wrap-With SNAPS!

We have always carried the duo wrap with velcro and I decided to step it up with this order.  Get that velcro outta here!
This is the same Duo Wrap that we have always carried, just with the added convenience of snaps.
Two adjustable sizes with leg gussets to keep your baby leak free.

Duo Hemp Prefolds

This is the first prefolds I have purchased for the store.  They are made of 55% hemp and 45% cotton.
Hemp is 25% more absorbant than cotton and a natural antimicrobial.  Each prefold is 2 layers thick, which means you'll get 6 layers of absorbancy once it's folded, but thin enough for thorough cleaning and quick drying.  They are more trim and more absorbant than a traditional cotton prefold, which makes them a fantastic option for those who like to be SUPER economical in their cloth diapering.

Stay Dry Duo Inserts

Want to use covers, but prefer the stay dry advantages of a pocket diapers?  Get the best of both worlds with duo inserts.  This is actually two inserts snapped together for the perfect one two punch of absorbancy.  The top layer is two layers of fast-absorbing micro terry topped with microfleece to keep those buns nice and dry.  This snaps to an insert made of 5 layers of slow absorbing, buttery soft hemp.  The combo is a match made in heaven to keep your baby free of leaks and rash.

Duo Diaper-With SNAPS!

One of the reasons I have waited to order Thirsties is that the Duo Diaper did not have a snap option.  Well my friends, as of last week, they do!
This really is a great diaper, folks!  It comes with the same 7 layer insert that you can use with the Duo Wrap.  Thirsties is another one of those amazingly clever companies who made their pocket diaper open on both ends so that it doesn't have to be unstuffed before it goes in the wash.  The insert will agitate itself right on out of there.  I don't know about you, but I'm all for less "hands on" options when it comes to dealing with diapers.

All 4 of these products come in size 1 and 2 in a variety of bright, fun colors and adorable prints.  My favorite is a toss up between hoot and blackbird, but if I had a girl, I would be ALL OVER the Alice Brights.  Lord help me if we ever have a girl.  I'm such a sucker for those super girly prints.

A few other cool things about the Thirsties brand:

  • They're made 100% in the US.
  • Their warehouse is powered by wind energy.
  • Their retail packaging is produced using wind energy.
  • And many more.

See our full line of Thirsties products HERE and as always, email me if you have any questions.

Product Feature-GroVia AIO

Grovia All in One
Sorry folks, I just can’t seem to get my act together for a Monday post.  This week was tricky with the holiday so I may try again.  I may just turn it into a weekly feature.

Clearly, my little guy loves his.
Today I’m talking about GroVia, specifically the all in one (or the AIO as those who are hip to the cloth diapering lingo call it).  The beauty of the AIO is that there’s no stuffing and less pieces to worry about in general.  It really makes it much more like those gross disposables.  The GroVia AIO specifically is lined completely with organic cotton.  There is this extra little flap that is only attached in the back so that it will dry quickly (genius) and a doubler that snaps to the back of this flap for a heavy wetter (a very nice option).
They (and we here at baby, naturally) offer a newborn as well as a one size option.  Both have snaps down the rise on the front to adjust the size.  This is probably the easiest option as far as adjusting a one size goes.  So fast and easy…they definitely leave the guess work out of it.  Just a little snap snap and you're good to go.  And the stretchy tabs on the sides insure a nice/snug fit around the waist.
Where they really got me was their adorable patterns.  I mean seriously?  Could those owls be any cuter?  Ty Guy was so excited, he just had to do a little jig.

Click here to order a GroVia AIO to call your own.

Happy Independence Day!

I will have a new product feature tomorrow, promise!
For now, Ty would like to wish you a very happy 4th.

I hope you had a safe holiday with friends and family.

Product Feature Monday-AppleCheeks!

So I obviously didn't get this done on Monday, but that's ok, right?

Just take a look at that adorable makes everything better!

Here's the skinny on AppleCheeks. They are an envelope/insert system. They are called an envelope cover instead of a pocket because the seam is in the middle of the cover instead of the back. I just assumed it was for this reason, maybe it's a Canadian thing. AppleCheeks is a Canadian company and they are also manufactured in Canada.

What Makes AppleCheeks Different...

So the inside is made of an unbelievably soft fleece lining with this handy dandy opening right near the middle.

Insert half way in.
Fully stuffed and ready to go!
The genius of moving the pocket opening to the middle is that you don't need to pull the insert out before you toss it in the laundry. IT WILL UNSTUFF ITSELF IN THE WASHER! I know, can you believe it? Now if you're like my hubby, you might say, "it's not a big deal to unstuff the diaper and it's not like it saves me that much time." In my opinion, it's quite nice! It's just one more step to making cloth just as convenient as disposables. Just take the, a'hem, soiled diaper off your baby and throw it in the pail. (be sure to rinse any, a'hem, solids first)
I have not tried this, but I have heard that another option is to lay the insert on top of the cover for one change, then stuff it for the second.  That way you can get 2 diaper changes out of each cover...saving time AND money!

Also, I don't have any good pictures of this, because this particular day, Tyler was drooling down his tummy like CRAZY. But another great feature of Applecheeks is the way the elastic goes across the front of the cover.

And thirdly, the bamboo inserts are SO soft and TRIM! This is probably one of the trimmest diapers out there. I would say the trimmest, but I haven't tried them all, so I won't make that claim yet. If you're not going for a trim look, the hemp inserts are not quite as trim, but still a great option. They don't make them any more, but I still have some if you're interested and looking for a great deal.

I didn't try AppleCheeks until Tyler was 11 months old, so he was obviously already in size 2, but I'm really excited to try the size 1 with the next child. I think they would work fantastic on a newborn! Great, close fit without the bulk.

So there you go. Everything you needed to know about AppleCheeks on a Monday Wednesday.

If you're interested, you can place an order HERE for your very own AppleCheeks.

Happy Cloth Diapering!

Product Feature Mondays!

In an effort to get this blog really up and running again, I'm going to spend the next several weeks featuring one product every Monday. I'll talk about the advantages and why I love to use the it.
Today I'm going to start with the Moby Wrap.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago on our vacation to sunny California. From trekking through the airport, to taking a stroll on the beach, the Moby Wrap was immensely helpful on this trip.
It will probably be a VERY long time before we fly again, but I will never fly without using the Moby Wrap. I wouldn't be surprised if I try to carry a 15 year old Tyler through the airport on a future family vacation. I cannot express to you how easy it was to pull all our luggage while carrying a toddler. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been to carry him (killed my back/arms) or try to push a stroller while trying a carry everything else (crazy!). The one downside is that you have to take it off when going through security. But that wasn't a huge deal and I just waited to put it back on right before we boarded the plain. Again...SUPER helpful while waiting in line and boarding/finding our seat.

We were also fortunate enough to spend a couple days at a beach house on the coast (see above-I know, right?). I don't know if you know this, but beaches don't have sidewalks. This particular beach community had little paths through the grass. It was great to go on morning walks down to the beach. It was uneven terrain, steep stairs, and we actually had to climb down some rocks to get to the beach. That's right, these Missouri folks were itchin' to get our feet on some sand. We meant business and the Moby was perfect to have along.

Even if you're not galavanting around the country like we were, it's still great to use for a trip to the store. Pushing a stroller around stores in the mall isn't fun, but with the Moby Wrap, it's no problem. Even if you're in Target, a grocery store or somewhere else with a cart, you either have to put your child in the cart (kinda gross) or push the stroller around the store and only get the amount of stuff that can fit in the basket on the bottom. What do you do if you have more than one kid? I've seen moms in the grocery store with a little baby in the Moby Wrap and a larger child in the cart. She looked like a super mom and I can't wait to do that someday. Ok, maybe I can wait a while for kiddo number two, but when we decide to add to our family, you better believe I'll be doing that.
This post is getting pretty long, so I'd better wrap it up...pun intended.
All in all, the Moby Wrap is AWESOME for traveling and for everyday life. If you don't have one, you can buy it HERE.

AppleCheeks Printalicious Event!

A lot of you are probably aware of this, but AppleCheeks is revealing their prints TODAY!

If you haven’t signed up for the reveal yet, you can sign up here to watch the reveal LIVE! They're having tons of free prizes during their party on Wednesday night!

I’ve had a little preview of the prints and they’re adorable so get excited.

The extra adorable factor does come with a small bump in price. The prints will be $1 more than a solid AppleCheeks cover. However, for one week and one week only, I’ll be selling the prints for $1 off! If you preorder a printed cover by Tuesday, June 15th, you will receive it for the same price as a solid cover. It may take a bit to get them in, so patience is appreciated.

New Products and FREEBIES!!

I'm excited to announce that baby, naturally is now going to be carrying CJ's All Natural Products and Planet Wise Changing Pads!
Planet Wise has now made changing pads to match their wetbags!
The solid colors match the pail liners and the designer changing pads match the fabrics on the wet/dry bags.
I'm thrilled to offer these as an adorable alternative to those boring old changing pads that come with a diaper bag. Also, these can turn any bag into a diaper bag! And you know your baby will appreciate having a plush, fancy changing pad just as much as you will.

We will also be carrying CJ's All Natural BUTTer. This delicious smelling, silky stuff makes your baby smell so so yummy, that you may even want to lick your baby! It will also heal and protect his/her skin so that it's smooth as a baby's, something else even smoother! Plus, its best feature, in my opinion, is that it comes in a stick. No more goop on your fingers! We offer two sizes so that you can get the one that best fits your needs.

CJ's Carcass Cleaner is not only a natural body wash, it makes a great wipe solution. Just squirt some in a container of water and you're good to go! You'll have to fight the urge to clean every carcass you come into contact with.

I'm sure you're all waiting on pins and needles hear about the free stuff I mentioned earlier. Well, here it is! I have 10 samples of CJ's BUTTer and 10 samples of Rockin' Green Classic Rock that I'll be including with the first 10 orders from the new baby, naturally! All you have to do is be one of the first 10 people to order and you win! It's that simple!
I will be reopening as soon as the samples arrive, so be sure to watch in the next week or so to take advantage of the freebies. And watch for features on other new products!

Meet Morgan See!

Hello everyone! I'm sure some of you know me and some of you don't, but I am the new owner of baby, naturally LLC! I'm so excited to take over the store and really accomplish some great things! I've been working really hard in the evenings getting ready to reopen. You can read a little bit more about why I decided to take over the store HERE. Here's a picture of our little family. Nathan and I have been married for almost 7 years...has it really already been 7 years? We have a 1 year old son who's the greatest kid ever! I'm sure you'll be hearing plenty about him in the years to come. I now have so much respect for all the work that Kelly did to start this business. She's walking me through the process and being super helpful! With a new baby on the way (any day now), she was ready to move on. We're trying to get everything ready before that little bugger decides to pop out. I still work full time at the University of Missouri Vet School, so I've been spending all my family time on the laptop. Tonight, I'm taking the night off and eating homemade pizza (my husband is a fabulous cook) and watching Inception. I've kind of been neglecting my family so I'm excited for our little date. I'll have more info soon about our Grand Re-Opening!!

Inventory Reduction Sale!

I know that I have not kept up with this blog, but I wanted to post here for those of you that are still subscribed or check in for updates...

After a great experience as owner of baby, naturally LLC, I have decided to sell the shop to a good friend who has both the time and the drive to keep up with things much better than I did!  In the next month or so, you will see changes to the site involving inventory, location for local pick-ups, and more.  We are still finalizing the details of the sale, but I wanted to share here that I am currently running an inventory reduction sale to try and clear out the inventory that the new owner will not be continuing to sell.  You can check it out HERE!!

I will let the new owner introduce herself when the sale goes through--she'll be taking over all aspects of baby, naturally LLC--including the blog :)

Thanks so much!!
